Among other interesting stats, this study by KPMG and ESGauge detail various board diversity disclosure stat as of the end of last year:

1. Director racial and ethnic diversity:
– 97% of S&P 500; 85% of Russell 3000 disclose board’s racial/ethnic diversity
– 42% of S&P 500; and 20% of Russell 3000 disclose race/ethnicity by individual director names
– 46% of S&P 500; and 57% of Russell 3000 disclose number/percentage of directors identifying with particular racial/ethnic categories
– 72% of S&P 500; and 38% of Russell 3000 disclose number/percentage of racially/ethnically diverse directors

2. Director gender diversity:
– 99% of S&P 500; 88% of Russell 3000 disclose the board’s gender composition
– 51% of S&P 500; 24% of Russell 3000 disclose gender by individual director names
– 93% of S&P 500; 82% of Russell 3000 disclose number or percentage of directors identifying as gender diverse
