Three skills you need to be successful in a sustainability job

Here’s a nice piece by Kealy Herman about the skill sets need to work in sustainability. Here’s an excerpt:

For most of my career, my job as a sustainability professional can be boiled down into 3 key activities:

– Determine how to make organizations more sustainable,
– Convince the decision-makers of the organization to make the changes, and
– Ensure those changes are successfully implemented.

These exercises look different at every organization, but I think they speak to the skills you need to be successful in this industry. For each skill, I’m including a few tools and resources to look into if you want to learn more.
