Here’s a note from Aine Clarke about ShareAction’s new report on proxy voting on ESG matters:

Today ShareAction has published new data on asset managers’ use of their proxy votes to influence companies’ action on environmental and social issues. Examining how 65 of the world’s largest asset managers voted on 146 #ESG resolutions, ShareAction’s report finds that the industry is continuing to block efforts to make progress on climate, executive pay and the gender pay gap, public health, decent work and weapons. Just 30 of 146 environmental and social resolutions assessed received majority support.
